Neon is the second single by Dutch indie artist MADOUX. Inspired by Warhaus, Alanis Morisette and Ane Brun, MADOUX started writing songs as a teenager. Coming from a tiny village in the south of the Netherlands she eventually took her bedroom demos to the big city and found her sound with German-born, Amsterdam-based producer Benjamin Rheinländer (Celine Cairo, Dave Buddha). The two diligently crafted the intriguing MADOUX sound and collaborated on a series of tracks of which “Neon” is the second one to be released on the new Amsterdam-based boutique label Ivy Records.

In “Neon” MADOUX talks about being in a dark place and feeling lost and lonely in a society that seems to be in an endless rush. Neon is about acknowledging that all we ever do is hold on and tell others were fine when we’re not. Even when everything seems to grow darker day by day, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, even if it’s just a flicker.
